what are you hoping for
as you click upon this link?
what will you find?
what are you looking for?
nothing but unedited text
is what you'll find here
the reality of all that is
not brought on a daily basis
between you and i
so, what is it that you're hoping for
as you read my soul?
what will you find?

for those of you who have come to this blog from the MHGS site...what is it that you want to know?
in the last month, dozens of people have come to my blog looking for something...what? i wonder what it is that draws you into my words, my life, my text, my soul......
if there is one thing i can ask of you, it is that you will leave your comments, anonymously if nothing else, but please, share with me what it is you're looking for...
and please, come back often to enter into conversation what it is you see and seek...
you know, that's a really good question, with several answers on several layers.
i come here seeking transparency that is rare, edgy and raw.
i come here to journey with you as a (mostly) silent observer through your heart.
i come here knowing i will find razor sharp honesty and pain that evokes the same in me.
i come here as a kindred soul, seeking solace in shared suffering.
i come here for hope because i see His hand all over your life.
i come here seeking His face in your words, for when i read your words, i see Christ... even in, especially in, "wtf".
this is your place in the world where it is safe to be "you at your most raw." where it is safe to let the poison out. where it is safe to question. where it is safe to be angry and hurt. where it is safe to move forward and look back, all at the same time.
you ask the questions most people won't or can't ask themselves. that, i believe, is the most compelling aspect of this place.
I come to learn more about Jesus. I come to be involved in something so much deeper that only those warring with the Kingdom can understand. I come to stand beside you, sit beside you, lay beside you, because you are my friend. Because you are my brother. Because I see in you my Savior trying to break through the brokenness of man. I'm just trying to learn more about my Jesus by what he has revealed to you.
thank you bringing your voice, ann, and anonymous. you both bring tears to my eyes. when i am weary and tired it is good to know that others are in this with me...even those whom i don't know. i hope that in reading my 'realness' you are both encouraged to be more 'real' in your own lives...it certainly isn't easy, but it's been better than trying to hold everything in as i've done for so many years. thank you both...
